August 23, 2009 is the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact between the Soviet Union (as the Russian Empire called itself) and Nazi Germany. The Pact resulted in the start of the Second World War. Germany has come to terms with its past. Russia has not. This is evidenced by laws against the truth.
